We’ve all heard that we should be drinking our greens, but not all smoothies are created equal. Many “healthy” blends are actually sugar bombs in disguise, leading to a quick energy spike followed by an inevitable mid-morning crash.
It’s time for a smarter way to enjoy your nutrients.
The Smarter Green Smoothie isn’t just about throwing random leaves into a blender; it’s about synergy. By balancing high-fiber greens with the right healthy fats and clean proteins, we can actually increase the bioavailability of the vitamins, meaning your body absorbs more of the good stuff.
If you want a drink that fuels your brain and body with precision, this is the blend you’ve been waiting for. Try it nuh!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups almond milk.
- 1 Tbsp. hemp seeds.
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds.
- 1 heaping handful of Spinach.
- ½ tsp coconut oil/nut butter (I used peanut butter at times).
- ½ cup blueberries (frozen).
- 2-3 dates to taste – without the pits (Pre-soaked).
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve and Enjoy!
Note:
This smoothie will provide you with protein, fiber, and essential fats and nutrients, including iron, magnesium and calcium that will help to keep you feeling full for a while. As per the dates, I usually have a small container with dates in water in my refrigerator for use in my smoothies.
I love adding dates, as it just adds a little bit of sweetness, which is just fine with me. Soaked dates, stored in the refrigerator, can last for up to a week or more.
