While our bodies are brilliant at natural detoxification, the truth is that the modern world exposes us to an overwhelming amount of daily toxins. Giving our hardworking organs a little extra love “wouldn’t hurt” – especially when it comes to the liver!
As the body’s primary filtration system, keeping your liver happy and thriving is key to overall wellness. This simple, nutrient-packed juice is the perfect way to give your liver that welcoming boost it deserves. Try it nuh!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 handful of Kale.
- 1 small Beetroot.
- 3 stalks of Celery.
- A handful of Parsley.
- 1 ½ cups water.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare all the ingredients, ensuring the beetroot is peeled and sliced.
- Add all the ingredients to a Juicer or Blender.
- Blend until smooth or your preferred consistency.
- Enjoy it right away or store it in a jar in your Refrigerator.
- Can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature.
Notes:
This is an awesome juice to have regularly, as it is just excellent for the entire body, particularly the liver. However, you can spice it up a bit by adding a few pieces of apples or pears, just to give it a bit more sweetness, or palatability for those who are just not a fan of green juices (as yet :)).
If you use a Blender, you may want to strain the juice as it will be too thick from the remnants of the kale, beetroot and celery. Straining it, if you use a blender and not a juicer, will make it easier to enjoy and digest.

Ingredient Spotlight!
~ Parsley~
Parsley is one of the powerhouse ingredients in this juice. It is an antioxidant-rich herb that is purported to be filled with a lot of great nutrients. These include vitamins A, K and C. Other nutrients include vitamin E, B-6, folate, iron, zinc and copper, among many others.
Some of these benefits have made this herb a nutritional powerhouse as it is touted to be able to help with diabetes, boost the immune system, the kidneys, brain and heart, as well as help to improve the health of the bones. The herb is mildly bitter, so it is excellent for detoxifying the body while bolstering the immune system.
