String beans or green beans as it is also known, are a vegetable that is very versatile and healthy. These little beans are packed with nutrients such as vitamin C and A which can help to boost the immune system as well as skin health.
They are also a good source of carotenoids which can help with eye health. In combination with cucumber with its many health benefits, this is one powerhouse juice you can add to your wellness routine. So, you do not always have to cook it or add it to salads etc, you can juice it and still reap the benefits. Try it nuh!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups string beans/green beans.
- 1 medium-sized cucumber.
- 2 tbsp lime juice.
- 1 tsp ginger (liquid is fine).
- 3 tbsp brown sugar (or to taste).
- 2 cups water.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add all the ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Strain and add desired sweetener.
- Serve and Enjoy!
- Best when chilled or served on ice!
Notes:
You can use a Juicer for the cucumber and string beans as well as the ginger (if you are using whole ginger). You may not get enough though and may need to add a bit more water. Also, you can add additional lime juice (as I did), as I love lemon, and the taste of it in my juices. Also, you can add more water if you prefer a lighter consistency.

Cucumber which is botanically a fruit that belongs to the family of watermelon and pumpkin. It reportedly has a low-calorie count but are packed with many nutrients such as vitamin C, K, copper, potassium, magnesium, etc.
Cucumber reportedly may help with weight loss, especially due to its high water and low calories. It is also great for the digestive system and may help to lower blood sugar levels.
