Corn or maize is a common cereal grain that is eaten worldwide. It can be eaten whole or in its young state. As such, the more mature they are, the less edible they become.
Sweetcorn is a genetic version, which has more sugar but less starch.
Some of the nutrients in corn include fibre, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zin, and niacin among others. Corn is said to be able to help in the prevention of constipation due to its high fibre content, which might help to protect the heart as well as provide nutrients for eye and skin health.
To good health!
