TABLE OF CONTENTS
I have been experimenting with different ways to enjoy oats, other than as porridge or just adding milk and fruits etc. have become a little monotonous for me. So, here is another way you can enjoy this healthy, fiber-rich food, plus, you might just enjoy it, as I did. Try it nuh!
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup oats
- 2 tbsp chia seeds.
- 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt (unsweetened).
- 1 tsp cacao powder.
- ½ cup milk of choice (or enough to cover the blends)
- ½ tsp maple syrup/honey, for extra sweetness (this is optional).
- Toppings – (for this one):
- Blueberries
- Walnuts (chopped/crushed)
- Roasted sunflower seeds.
- Melted Peanut Butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add oats to the container (the one you will be eating the mixture out of)
- Add chia seeds.
- Add cacao powder.
- Add Milk.
- Add yoghurt.
- Add sweetener (optional).
- Mixed until all is blended.
- Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator.
- In the morning:
- Remove from the refrigerator.
- Add blueberries.
- Sunflower seeds.
- Peanut butter.
- Combine all the ingredients.
- Serve and Enjoy!
Notes:
For this recipe, I used frozen blueberries (only had that available). You can also add ripe bananas (I was out 😊), this will give it a little more sweetness, and of course, further help with satiety. However, this was very enjoyable and filling, plus, it is healthy. Remember, you can add a little more milk if it is too thick when you are ready to eat it in the morning. I could not eat it all in one go! Remember, use toppings that you have on hand, just work it in, and enjoy your breakfast treat (because it is like a treat in the morning 😊).
